Safeguards That Protect
KEIIP adheres to robust social safeguard policies in line with ADB guidelines and national laws.
✅Involuntary Resettlement Avoided or Minimized: Designs are optimized to avoid displacement. Where unavoidable, affected people are compensated fairly and assisted in resettlement and livelihood restoration.
✅Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM): A centralized grievance management cell has been established to ensure voices are heard and issues resolved promptly.
✅Regular Consultations: Engagement with communities at every stage—from planning to implementation—to ensure transparency and trust.
Awareness & Capacity Building
✅ Social leadership campaigns to promote health, hygiene, and behavioural change.
✅Training for KMC staff and local stakeholders on ADB social policies, gender equity, and community engagement.
